It is hard to say goodbye!
We have all had someone move away. This might be a childhood friend or a co-worker. It might be devastating or it might be a good thing. Or it could be somewhere in between.
How do we say goodbye when we have the chance? Is it the heartfelt “I’ll miss you” or the empty “I will keep in touch”? For me I mean it when I say “keep in touch”. But I am embarrassingly bad about doing just that.
For the past several years I have had the pleasure of working with a young lady who seemed to always have a smile on her face. Her laughter was contagious. Her dedication to her job and her family is inspiring.
When I found out she was leaving for a new job I knew that she would be missed. I wanted a way to express that I would be one who missed her. So I went to the shop and made these pieces as a goodbye, good luck and remember me.
Bonnie, I wish you had stayed. However I am a strong believer that a person needs to do what is best for them. With that, I wish you the very best in your new adventure and all of the ones to come.
The first two are from patterns at Steve Good's site.

Geocaching Part #2
As a follow up on my previous post, I dropped my travel bugs
off today. I picked one up to move along
in its travels.
In the past year this travel bug has traveled over 12,000
miles and has been in more than one country.
As I have picked it up I am responsible to log it and move it to another
cache.
I thought this was a wonderful “geocoin”!

Geocaching
Not too long ago I decided to give Geocaching a try. For those who have not heard of this, it is a
high-tech treasure hunt. It is a way to
get you, and your family out and about.
You might look for caches in your local town or maybe go hiking and look
for some in the great outdoors. You will
find that there are caches all over the world.
Please take a look at: http://www.geocaching.com/
One of the additional ways of getting involved is by Travel
Bugs. You can send an item out into the
world to travel. As the owner of a TB
(Travel Bug) you can track it’s progress and location. There are some out there that have been
traveling for years.
So, here are the first two I am releasing. Both were made on the scroll saw. The metal tag connected has the unique
tracking number for this item. One piece
is one I made some time ago. The other
is the symbol for Geocaching.
Enjoy and try going on a treasure hunt.

Maybe you will find them one day...

Poodles
My mom made the comment so time ago that it would be nice to
have something with poodles. As I try to
do what my mommy asks I made the following.
Milo and Morgan are miniature poodles with
phantom coloring. She got them at

I did not make these – Milo & Morgan enjoying the
afternoon.
The silhouette piece was made using a picture of Milo .
Just to make sure Dad does not feel left out, I made him
this.

New Friends
A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting a
wonderful lady.
Lillian Watanbe is one who has grasped entrepreneurial
spirit. She opened and owns her own business.
I took a few moments to make this for her. This is her logo and her family crest.
To find out more about Lillian go to her web site at: http://www.reliablehi.com

Veteran’s Day 2012
I have had the pleasure of knowing several veterans. World
War 2 , Korea ,
Vietnam , Grenada ,
Gulf War and Iran .
Hope I am not missing any.
When I was 17 and had no real direction in my life a very important
person in my life suggested my joining the military. A few months later I enlisted in the US Air
Force. This is one of the best things I
did.
Here are some pieces I made for a couple of Vets.
On this Veteran’s Day I wish to say Thank You to all of the
Veterans in my life and through out the world.

New Chapter in Life
Well here I am middle age and I decided to start a new
chapter in life. I never went to college
so it was suggested I might want to start.

Phoenix Logo |
So I have signed up and am starting college on line with University
of Phoenix . I am really looking forward to this.
So I made these two signs for myself. One for the shop and one for my desk I am
using for school work. I am working on deciding
which one goes where.
The one down side is the fact that I might not have as much
time in the shop. I suspect that the time
I do get will be special. I will
continue working on projects and sharing them, just not as often.
