Geocaching

Not too long ago I decided to give Geocaching a try.  For those who have not heard of this, it is a high-tech treasure hunt.  It is a way to get you, and your family out and about.  You might look for caches in your local town or maybe go hiking and look for some in the great outdoors.  You will find that there are caches all over the world.  Please take a look at: http://www.geocaching.com/

One of the additional ways of getting involved is by Travel Bugs.  You can send an item out into the world to travel.  As the owner of a TB (Travel Bug) you can track it’s progress and location.  There are some out there that have been traveling for years.

So, here are the first two I am releasing.  Both were made on the scroll saw.  The metal tag connected has the unique tracking number for this item.  One piece is one I made some time ago.  The other is the symbol for Geocaching.

Enjoy and try going on a treasure hunt.

If you you want to track these items from http://www.geocaching.com/ , the tracking numbers are:

  • TB5JE0P
  • TB5JE0A

Maybe you will find them one day...
